Justice... Elephant Style
Finally, proof that the events of Eric the Elephant are plausible. With the exception of “losing” ones ears and the detail that elephants don’t have opposable thumbs or shotguns, it could happen. But it does my heart good to see elephants on the path/rampage to justice."Amid frequent reports of herds of elephants destroying African villages without apparent cause, some scientists are speculating elephants might be attacking humans in revenge for years of abuse, giving new meaning to the saying elephants never forget, New Scientist magazine reported.
So an elephant is shot without (hunters) realizing the possible consequences on the remaining family members and the very real possibility of stimulating a cycle of violence."
Does my elephant sense detect a sequel? Watch Eric the Elephant online.

Happy Birthday to My Blog
I just realized that my blog has been up and active for just over 1.060273972602739726027397260274E-2 centuries. It makes me happy to see my blog grow from 10-20 visits per week to well over 100 and at least twice that number page views (though, it tends to help when I actually post new content).
I've started recieving random hits from search engines for subjects such as Reggie Dabbs, MPAA commercials, and others. Now it's the matter of getting Dugg / Slashdotted / Farked / Boinged to really get 'out there.'

Super Commercials
Google Video rocks.
My entire motivation in watching the Superbowl each year is for, quite obviously, the commercials. This year, the overly zealous Steelers fan base at GCC precluded me from participating in this age old tradition (of not watching the actual game). Thankfully Google has come to the rescue (yet again). They provide several ads from the game, and why not, it's free advertising. Here are my rankings, the companies, the name of the commercial, and the associated link.
5. Budweister - Wave - Link
4. Bud Light - Hidden Bud Light - Link
3. Bud Light - Secret Fridge -Link
2. Vault - Scarecrow - Link
1. Degree - Stunt City - Link
And then there's GoDaddy... they submitted 14 different ads and were rejected 13 times...I liked take two of this one the most.

Filed: Christmas Wish List 2006
I want one.
"Built out of Kevlar and carbon fiber, this miniature Tomcat fighter jet can reach speeds upwards of 280 M.P.H. The models (which are exact and accurate scale replicas) use small jet turbines, functionally identical to those used in actual full-sized jets to achieve remarkable speeds and flying precision."

Ode to an 89
So my calculator died (well, half the screen did, that makes it pretty much useless, little Chinese kids it is). So I wrote a poem, an ode... if you will.
In Memory of a Friend...
Having plodded across x and y,
Adding and subtracting bye and bye,
Those vile tasks you saw me through,
Ever reliable, when batteries were new.
Math and physics: you were the key,
And you were only three.
‘Tis sad so short a time has past
Have peace my friend, you will not be the last.
